Yes. You can use empirio.ai free of charge, and we honestly believe that our free plan is an absolutely top-notch offer. You can use many AI features for creating and editing your survey without limits, all the free designs are noticeably more modern than with many other survey tools, and the standard setup already gives you a GDPR-compliant solution. Only if you want to survey more than 50 participants with your questionnaire, or if you need more advanced features, will you need to upgrade your account.

We offer three plans: Standard is free and will always remain free. You can create as many surveys as you like, include as many questions as you want, and analyse the responses – with no hidden costs. Lite mainly gives you upgrades for the questionnaire itself. You can use new designs and set up logic rules. Plus unlocks premium features that take your surveys to the next level. This includes collaboration with up to 3 additional users. It’s particularly useful for in-depth AI-powered analyses and company surveys (with your own corporate design). Pro is the option for anyone who wants the full package – including all premium features and collaboration with up to 5 additional users. It’s especially suitable for demanding survey projects. Creating surveys is and will remain free of charge. You only need a Plus or Pro package once you actively want to use premium features. You can find the current prices and all details at any time on our pricing page. There you can also see which features are included in which package.

You can try out all premium features in the editor for free and fine-tune your questionnaire for as long as you like. They’re clearly marked as premium so you can keep track of everything. You only start paying once you actually publish a survey that uses active premium features. At that point, you’ll need a suitable plan. Prefer to stick with the free version? You can deactivate premium elements again with a single click – and your survey will go online as a normal, free survey. Premium features that are not part of the editor (e.g. exporting responses, AI-based analyses and team collaboration) have to be activated in advance. These therefore cannot be tested.

We offer all major payment methods. You can conveniently pay by credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna or SEPA direct debit. Naturally, the entire process is completely secure.

Yes, automatically. After each payment we’ll send you a proper invoice by email. You can also find your invoices at any time in your account under “Billing” to download. Do you need an invoice with your company name and VAT ID? In the settings you can save your billing address – it will then automatically appear on all future invoices.

Yes, at any time – both upgrading and downgrading. Upgrade: If you switch to a higher plan, the new feature is activated immediately. We calculate it to the exact day, so you only pay the additional amount for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrade: You can reduce your plan for the next billing period or switch back to the free plan entirely. The proportional invoice amount will be credited and offset against the following billing period.

In your settings under “Billing” you’ll find a button to cancel your plan. With just a few clicks, you can cancel it effective at the end of the current billing period. You can continue to use all premium features as usual until the end of the paid period. After that, your account will automatically switch to the free standard plan.

As long as your membership is active, nothing will change. You can continue to use all Premium features as usual until your paid period ends. Only after that will your account automatically switch to the free Standard plan. All your surveys will of course remain fully available to you and will continue to run without any extra work on your part (participants can therefore continue to take part in the survey). You can still open them, view them and analyse the results. If your survey uses Premium features that are not included in the Standard plan (for example higher participation limits), it may be that you cannot see new participants once you exceed the response limit. Tip: If you want to get going again later, one click is all it takes: reactivate your plan and all features will be available again immediately.

If you realise that the premium packages from empirio.ai don’t quite suit you after all, we’ll work together to find a solution you feel comfortable with. To be honest, we think that will rarely be the case. But if it does happen, it’s important to us that you don’t feel stuck with a tool you don’t like. We want you to enjoy working with empirio.ai – and if that’s ever not the case, we’ll talk it through.

If you had a Plus membership on the old empirio (empirio.de), it will continue there – but it will not be transferred to empirio.ai automatically. If you also want to unlock premium features here, you’ll need a new plan on empirio.ai. Do you have an annual membership on the old empirio? Then just get in touch with our support – we can transfer the remaining value to empirio.ai.
