Yes. With empirio.ai you can invite other people to your surveys and work together on questionnaires, designs, and analyses. This is handy when you’re planning surveys as a team, coordinating them, or analyzing them together—for example, HR and management for an employee survey, or students working on a joint research project. This feature is available starting with our Plus plan (3 additional people). With the Pro plan, you can invite up to 5 additional people.

In three steps: Open the survey you want to work on together and click “Share” > “Collaborate.” Enter the email address of the person you want to invite. We’ll automatically send out an invitation. As soon as the person accepts the invitation via email, they’ll have access to the survey and can collaborate on it.

Not necessarily. If the person doesn’t have an account yet, they can create one right when they accept the invitation—free of charge and in just a few seconds. Only then will they gain access to the shared survey.

If the person you invited doesn’t receive an email, it’s worth checking their spam folder first. If it doesn’t show up there either, you can simply resend the invitation from the editor. Please also take a moment to check that the email address is spelled correctly—based on experience, that’s the most common source of errors.

Invited people have full access to the shared survey when they are given the role of “Editor.” This means they can add or change questions, adjust the design, test the survey, and view the results. Good to know: Any changes are immediately visible to everyone. So if you’re working on a survey as a team, it’s worth briefly coordinating who does what—so you don’t accidentally get in each other’s way. If you only want to grant read-only rights, simply select “Viewer” when sending the invitation. That way, the other person can open the survey but can’t make any changes.

Yes. Multiple people can be in the editor at the same time and work on different parts of the survey. All changes are automatically saved in real time. Everyone can also see whether they are currently editing the survey and which part they are working on. Tip: To avoid accidentally editing the same question at the same time, quickly coordinate with each other or divide up the tasks in a sensible way (for example: one person takes care of the questions, another handles the design).

In the "Share" > "Collaboration" section, you’ll see an overview of everyone who currently has access to your survey. With a single click, you can revoke access at any time—immediately and without further confirmation. After that, the person will no longer be able to open or edit the survey.

Yes. Collaboration works at every stage of your survey – whether you’re still fine-tuning the concept, about to launch, or already analyzing the results. Invited collaborators can also make changes and view results after the survey has been published.
