You can create an account with empirio.ai in just a few steps. Go to empirio.ai and choose one of the available sign-up options. You can either enter your email address and receive a sign-in link, or sign in directly with your Google account. A password is not required. Both sign-in methods automatically create your empirio.ai account. After that, you’ll be taken straight to your dashboard, where you can create your first survey for free.

You have three options for creating your survey: you can create a survey with AI, use a template, or start with a blank survey. The easiest option is to start with AI. Briefly describe what your survey should be about, and empirio.ai will automatically generate a complete survey for you. You can then customize it in the editor. Alternatively, you can select a ready-made template and use it as the basis for your own survey. This is especially helpful if you want to get started quickly or are looking for inspiration for suitable questions. If you already know exactly how your survey should be structured, you can also start with a blank survey and define all questions, answer options, logic, and design settings yourself. All three paths lead to the same editor. There you can continue editing, designing, and publishing your survey at any time.

empirio.ai can be used internationally and supports multiple languages. The following languages are currently available: * German * English * Spanish * Italian * French * Dutch

You can change the language of empirio.ai in two places. If you’re not logged in, use the language switcher in the top navigation bar. This lets you quickly adjust the website’s language. If you’re logged in, open your settings and select your preferred language under Language and Region. This setting is permanently saved for your account. The change is applied immediately in the dashboard and the survey tool, and it also applies to your future use.

Yes. Protecting your data is a top priority at empirio.ai. All data is stored in the EU, so you can create your surveys with data privacy in mind and a good feeling. This also makes empirio.ai suitable for sensitive areas of use such as companies, schools, universities, and scientific projects.

empirio.ai is the successor to empirio and was launched in 2026. Since 2018, empirio has primarily supported students in creating surveys for academic papers. Over time, however, the platform was increasingly used by companies, schools, and universities as well. That’s why we completely redesigned and expanded our survey software and optimized it for new areas of application. With empirio.ai, not only students but also teams, organizations, and educational institutions can now create modern surveys. In addition, empirio.ai offers multiple languages so that surveys can easily be conducted beyond the German-speaking world.

empirio has grown significantly in recent years. The platform was originally developed primarily for students in Germany. Over time, however, more and more users from other fields and countries joined — including companies, schools, and universities. To ensure that empirio can be used consistently on an international level in the future, we have further developed the platform, and empirio.de has become empirio.ai. The new name stands for a modern, international survey platform that remains easy to use while offering significantly more possibilities: new features, multiple languages, a redesigned interface, and AI-powered support for creating surveys.

If you already had an account with the previous empirio, your existing surveys will of course remain accessible. Simply log in via empirio.ai. After logging in, you’ll find a note about the transition in your dashboard. From there, you can go directly to the previous empirio platform, where you can continue to manage, edit, and analyze your existing surveys. From now on, you’ll create new surveys directly in empirio.ai.

If you had a Plus membership in the old empirio and also want to unlock premium features on empirio.ai, you’ll need to purchase a new membership specifically for empirio.ai. The plans are not transferred automatically. Simply cancel your membership in the old empirio, sign up again on empirio.ai, and you’ll be ready to go with your new surveys. Annual memberships can be transferred by our support team. Just send us a short email.
